Get Involved

Rockwood Center needs volunteers Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Duties vary and include food prep, serving and dishwashing (two-hour shifts are available). Volunteers are also needed to distribute flyers to senior housing and other facilities in the neighborhood. Shifts are flexible to work with your schedule. Resource Center (in Multnomah Village) needs two volunteers to stuff/sort 2,700 letters (sitting job, takes two hours) and run them through our postage meter (standing job, takes one hour) and sort posters (sitting job, takes one hour). Loaves & Fishes Centers could not exist without the help of more than 500 volunteers every weekday, Our volunteers help prepare and serve meals to seniors in 36 meal centers throughout Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties, as well as deliver nearly 3,000 Meals-On-Wheels to homebound elderly. We have meal centers near your home or office and a variety of committees that will welcome your involvement!
