Emergency Meals-On-Wheels Drivers



Loaves & Fishes Centers delivers 3,000 hot meals to homebound seniors throughout the metropolitan area every weekday. We depend on volunteers to make those deliveries.

Due to a recent change in how background checks are handled for volunteer drivers, we can use ONLY those volunteers who have already undergone the background check. If you have a four-wheel drive vehicle and will be available to help deliver meals to homebound seniors during inclement weather, please complete the background check now and be added to our list of approved inclement weather drivers!

 

Directions for Background Check

 

  1. Download the directions for the background check from Directions for Background Check and then download the Background Check Form.
  2. Print and complete section 5 of the form. Do not sign or date the bottom of the form until you drop it off at a Loaves & Fishes Centers location.
  3. Drop off your form at the Loaves & Fishes Centers main office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 7710 SW 31st Avenue, Portland OR 97219 or find a center nearest to you by clicking here. You will be required to show your driver's license when you present the form.

Please note: If you plan to drop off your form at one of our neighborhood centers, please call in advance to ensure that a Loaves & Fishes Centers staff person is on site to assist you.
