Janet, Cherry Blossom Volunteer
Janet Tasco has been an active volunteer at Cherry Blossom Loaves & Fishes Center for more than three years. Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Janet has made her home in Portland since 1981. She raised her family here and remains close to them all in Southwest Portland.
Janet worked for many years in nursing – specializing in geriatric care. “ I deeply appreciate the knowledge gained with age that has been passed to me,” she said. “ And, now I hope to share my experiences.” She is the proud grandmother of three and spends her free time volunteering at Cherry Blossom Loaves & Fishes Center and with Mentor Oregon.
“Cherry Blossom Loaves & Fishes Center is a special place for me. I love the companionship and just plain good times we share. It is like an extension of my family.”
